'We could never have envisaged this when we were teenagers'

Tom Marquand could have been forgiven a pang of jealousy when he dropped off Hollie Doyle at the airport on Tuesday, with his partner set to take her first ride at the Breeders' Cup this weekend.

But there has never been room for that sort of sentiment in the relationship between racing's golden couple, only celebration of their successes.

"I was caught on camera next to Hollie when the photo was called in the Champions Sprint and you could see the elation," said Marquand on Tuesday. "It felt like a photo being called my way, which is mad.
