Three years after Melbourne Cup runner-up Heartbreak City won the Ebor, Tony Martin has his sights set on more York glory with Galway Hurdle hero Tudor City, who is reported to be in rude health ahead of the £70,000 Sky Bet Handicap on Friday.

Martin reminded us he can still do it on the big days in the Guinness Galway Hurdle, Ireland's joint-richest hurdle race, in which Tudor City stormed home under Robbie Power to plunder the prize and land a big gamble in the process.

"I'm hoping Tudor City will get into the race at York on Friday as I think a mile and a half around there is right up his street. He will absolutely love it. He is number 35 on the list, so he will need a few to come out, but if he does get in he will run," Martin said.
