Watch how the Chelsea v Man Utd shootout went between the jockeys at Thirsk
Manchester United got an early boost on FA Cup Final day – 220 miles away from Wembley at Thirsk.
To get into the footballing mood, the course staged a jockeys' penalty shootout, with five riders each donning the colours of the teams locking horns later in the afternoon.
They took turns shooting into a goal set up in the parade ring, with commentator Darren Owen putting on the sheepskin and being John Motson for the day.
And it ended in a 4-0 win for United, captained by Tony Hamilton, with David Allan named as man of the match.
Thirsk donated £250 to Racing Welfare, the charity chosen by the winning team.
