Veteran to race on with another trip to Dubai on the cards

Rumours that Sole Power would be retired have been quashed with the five-time Group 1-winning sprinter set for another stint in Dubai next spring as a ten-year-old.

The veteran is yet to win in 2016 and was only seventh of 13 in the Group 2 Flying Five at the Curragh this month, but the Group 3 John Guest Bengough Stakes at Ascot on Saturday week is next on the agenda.

Paddy Power, whose family own the star sprinter, says retirement is not under consideration for the nine-year-old who will be making his 50th appearance in a Group race should he turn up at Ascot.
