Moving house is generally regarded as one of the more stressful experiences in life, so it is normally thought best to keep things as calm as possible around the time of the move.

Newmarket trainer Roger Varian has already complicated things for himself by having to move well over 100 horses across town to his new base at Carlburg Stables from his current yard at Kremlin House but it appears that is not enough for him.

For it seems Varian is keen to test his unflappable and laid-back character by electing to have the move completed by February 1, the date when the grass canters on Warren Hill in Newmarket open and the date his wife Hannako is expecting their third child.
