This season has already been Paddy Twomey’s best one but things could get even better as he warms up for a tilt at the Breeders’ Cup with Pearls Galore by sending La Petite Coco to the Qipco Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.

In doing so, Twomey, who landed the Listed Staffordstown Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday with the up-and-coming Limiti Di Greccio, will be bidding to snare a breakthrough Group 1.

Last seen taking the scalp of Love in the Group 2 Blandford Stakes at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend, La Petite Coco is a general 11-4 chance to strike gold at Ascot.
