A once in a lifetime trip to Ballydoyle is arguably the standout attraction among ten lots up for auction at this year's Sir Peter O'Sullevan Charitable Trust annual lunch, at the Dorchester Hotel in London on November 22.

The successful bidder will receive a VIP trip for four people to the home of Aidan O'Brien – who will be presented with the prestigious Sir Peter O'Sullevan award for 2018 – as well as a tour of Coolmore Stud and overnight accommodation and dinner.

Other lots that have proved popular in the past return with Godolphin donating a premium hospitality trip for two to the Dubai World Cup and Aintree pledging a day at the Grand National meeting for six people.

The trust, alongside Newbury, is auctioning a box for 20 for the Ladbrokes Trophy Chase, a card which also features the Sir Peter O'Sullevan Memorial Chase.

Nigel Payne, chairman of the trustees, said: "Dear Peter died in 2015 and it's remarkable that his legacy regarding this lunch seems to be getting stronger and stronger.

"We're going to have another sellout crowd and I'm absolutely thrilled with the generosity of those that have given us auction items."

There are also several unique art works on offer including a quarter-size sculpture of legendary chaser Denman and a rare volume from O'Sullevan's own collection, I Walked by Night, by major 20th century Norfolk artist Edward Seago, who became a close friend of O'Sullevan's.

The auction at the award lunch, which is in aid of a wide range of welfare charities, will again be conducted by John Francome and afterwards guests will be entertained by Sir Michael Parkinson.

Part of the proceeds will support the Injured Jockeys Fund in building the Peter O'Sullevan House – a rehabilitation centre in the mould of Oaksey House in Lambourn and the Jack Berry House in Malton – which is due to open its doors in Newmarket in autumn next year.
