Trainers and stable staff are being asked to participate in a survey to help British racing's bid to deal with the pressing issue of the shortage in its workforce.

The survey will help to establish a baseline of facts around the key issues affecting the development and retention of stable staff, against which progress can be measured.

It is part of an initiative funded by the Racing Foundation, which administers racing's share of the proceeds of the sale of the Tote, being delivered in partnership with the BHA, National Trainers Federation (NTF), National Association of Stable Staff (Nass) and racing charities.
