Trainer David Dunne has been fined €2,000 after Druim Samhraidh tested positive for a steroid following his win at Ballinrobe on August 12.

Druim Samhraidh, who was a 4-1 shot, won a bumper by ten lengths under Jamie Codd. The six-year-old was disqualified and banned from racing for 14 months following a hearing of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board's referrals committee on Friday.

The committee also dealt with three cases involving jockeys, including Liam Quinlan, who failed to submit himself to a drug test.

The committee accepted Quinlan's guilty plea and deferred any sanction until a later date.

David Simmonson was given a two-year ban, dating from August 11, for testing positive for a prohibited substance. He can apply to have his licence reinstated after one year subject to conditions.

Amateur rider Cian Cullinan received a four-year ban, dating from October 3, for failing a drug test and it was agreed that he, too, can apply to have his licence reinstated after one year again subject to conditions.
