Mizzou, winner of the last two runnings of the Group 3 Sagaro Stakes at Ascot, has been retired with connections now aiming to secure a place at stud for the five-year-old.

Trained by Luca Cumani for Jon Kelly, Mizzou developed into a high-class stayer on the Flat during his three seasons on the course with five wins from ten starts.

His finest moments came at Ascot with back-to-back wins in the Sagaro Stakes and a valiant second to Order Of St George in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot this year.
