There has not been a horse capture all that is great and frustrating about the Flat game for quite a while like Too Darn Hot.

This time last year we had yet to see him on a racecourse, now he is gone for good. In between he has been called every name under the sun - most of them hard-earned.

First he was a ‘superstar’, then ‘a champion’. At two he was all dominant, his late start to racing more than made up for with four wins. In progressing from maiden to Dewhurst glory he first thumped Phoenix Of Spain, then Advertise, Anthony Van Dyck and Sangarius - form that looks even more sensational now.
