Tonight's racing: three runners who could make an impact

Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore: combine with Scandaleuse at Kempton

There are three evening meetings comprising 21 races in Britain and Ireland this evening. Here are three horses to follow tonight and throughout the summer

Scandaleuse
7.10 Kempton
There are a few smartly bred fillies in this novice race and the two runners with experience – Di Fede and Mraseel – set a good standard. But Sir Michael Stoute's newcomer Scandaleuse may pose a threat on debut before going on to bigger and better things. By War Front out of the Grade 1 Spinster Stakes-winning mare Aruna, she has a mixture of speed and stamina in her pedigree and looks certain to handle the synthetic surface. Ryan Moore has been booked and Stoute does extremely well with his two-year-olds at the track (15-73 in the last five years).

Lovely Touch
7.50 Southwell
Sam Thomas has a 33 per cent strike-rate with his runners this calendar year and this very unexposed eight-year-old looks to have a great chance of winning his fourth consecutive race for connections. Barely coming off the bridle when recording the first leg of a quickfire double this month, he was put up 13lb but duly bolted in 12 days later under today's jockey Adam Nicol over this course and distance. He's not a working man's price tonight but up to a mark of 105, it will be interesting to see if he can continue his progress.

Leodis
8.50 Southwell
Nicky Henderson's Whoshotwho looks likely to go off a short-priced favourite in the 2m bumper that closes the card at Southwell, but an interesting runner is James Tate's Leodis. The once-raced son of Shirocco showed some ability when having to make his own running over this course and distance in March and, despite finishing fifth he looked to have enough ability to land a race like this. Richard Johnson, who only has two rides on the card, is a significant booking given he has not ridden for Tate in the last five years.
