Tonight's racing: three runners who catch the eye at Newcastle
Following afternoon action at Southwell, the evening racing comes from Newcastle where these three runners are worth noting. . .
Gregarious Girl
5.15 Newcastle
Having run a great race over course and distance last time out, the mount of Joe Fanning has huge claims off the same mark. She was only defeated by half a length that day, pulling nicely clear of the third and deserves to go one better here.
7.00 Newcastle
The Mark Johnston-trained newcomer boasts a very good pedigree and could be good enough to making a winning debut. His dam won on her first racecourse outing as a juvenile which bodes well and this doesn't look the strongest event of its type.
8.00 Newcastle
Maureb is two from four when running in this grade and could make the most of a career-low mark. The Tony Coyle-trained seven-year-old was a decent winner on her previous all-weather start and ran well when fresh last season.
