Tonight's racing: three runners who catch the eye at Kempton
Following a spectacular afternoon's racing at Leopardstown and Sandown, Kempton takes over in the evening as the sole all-weather fixture. Here are three runners to keep an eye on . . .
Global Spectrum
5.15 Kempton
Johnny Hon's three-year-old colt was an easy winner over course-and-distance on his debut in November and bids to add a second career win to his name this evening.
The son of Dutch Art caught the eye when pulling clear of the rest of the field to score by two and three-quarter lengths and looks a decent prospect for Gay Kelleway.
Elisheba
6.15 Kempton
John Gosden and Robert Havlin are always a combination to watch at this time of year and the champion trainer saddles the unraced Elisheba in this fillies' novice contest.
The daughter of Derby winner Australia was bought for 200,000gns at the Tattersalls October Sale in 2017 and is related to Platinum Warrior, who beat subsequent Irish Derby hero Latrobe in the Group 3 Airlie Stud Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh last May.
Ember's Glow
8.15 Kempton
Ember's Glow has been in excellent form of late and bids to follow up his course-and-distance victory last time out in the final race of the evening.
The five-year-old has won and been placed three times in his six starts at the track and will once again be partnered by Eoin Walsh, who has won on him twice. A 3lb rise might not prevent the pairing from following up and he looks sure to produce another game effort.
