Tonight's racing: three runners to note at Lingfield and Chelmsford
It's a double helping of all-weather action this evening, with the undoubted highlight being the £100,000 Chelmsford City Cup Handicap. Here's three runners it could be worth noting.
Seinesational
7.00 Lingfield
Apprentice Jason Watson continues to impress and his 3lb claim is an invaluable asset which trainers are keen to exploit. It appears significant he comes to Lingfield for the one ride having been in action at Sandown in the afternoon.
He knows Seinesational well, having won on the William Knight-trained three-year-old in the season, and at the foot of the handicap the pair could go well again.
Red Bravo
7.15 Chelmsford
A surprise 25-1 winner on debut at Newmarket, this colt handled conditions at the track best with the going changing to soft after some downpours.
But Red Bravo did win nicely and the form has substance as the third, Bye Bye Hong Kong, scored next time out. It will be interesting to see if Red Bravo can remain unbeaten.
Lucymai
7.45 Chelmsford
She may have to concede weight all round in a very valuable handicap, but Lucymai loves her visits to Chelmsford.
The Dean Ivory-trained mare has five wins, two seconds and two thirds from 11 previous runs here. She's up 5lb for her latest success but has a reasonable draw and Ivory and jockey Robert Winston carried off another decent prize from the track earlier in the week with Eirene.
