Tonight's action: three runners it could be worth noting at Kempton
With the turf scene largely a washout so far this week in Britain and Ireland, there has been an increased focus on the all-weather and this evening's card at Kempton completes a trio of fixtures on Wednesday. Here are three runners it could be worth noting at the Sunbury track
Ran three times as a two-year-old and was last seen finishing third to Gronkowski, form that has only got better through the course of the winter with Gronkowski now Kentucky-bound.
When they met at Chelmsford in November, Revolutionary Man was beaten ten and a half lengths in third over a mile. Dropping back to 7f this evening should not be an issue and the colt has undergone surgery on his wind since.
Ben Haslam sent out a double at Newcastle last week and the north Yorkshire-based trainer is worth following given he has a rare runner down at Kempton.
In the last five seasons Haslam has only had five runners here, with one winner and three fourths. Eponina is a nine-race maiden but has shown enough to suggest she has a little race in her, though she does need to prove she handles the Polytrack surface.
This four-year-old is in a rich vein of form with three wins from his last four starts – two of those coming over tonight's course and distance.
Although he's up another 3lb, he's in the winning groove, something which cannot be said for the majority of his rivals, and he looks to have a good chance of completing the hat-trick for trainer John Gallagher.
