Henderson 'couldn't be happier' with Altior for third leg of big-gun treble
Nicky Henderson, who has been on an emotional rollercoaster with two of his stable stars in recent weekends, is set to have his nerves tested once again on Saturday with Altior in line to return in the Betfair Tingle Creek at Sandown against some seriously high-class opposition.
The champion trainer says he could not be happier with arguably jump racing's biggest and brightest name going into the mouthwatering highlight of Sandown's jumps calendar, which Henderson won with his former leading light Sprinter Sacre in 2012, but he identified the quality of the opposition as the biggest concern.
Tuesday's ten entries are headed by Champion Chase hero Altior, who is unbeaten in 14 starts over hurdles and fences and heads the sponsor's betting at 4-6. Impressive Shloer Chase winner Sceau Royal is next best at 9-2.
