Three to look out for on Kempton's card tonight
Kempton takes over after Newmarket and Cheltenham have finished, providing an eight-race card. Here are three runners to note. . .
Dancing On A Dream5.45
Due respect is given to those with experience, in particular Jungle Inthebungle who made a winning debut for a yard whose two-year-olds have started brightly, but of the newcomers in this novice the most interesting by clear water is the Mark Johnston-trained Dancing On A Dream.
Johnston had his first two-year-old winner of the year, Blown By Wind, at Windsor on Monday and Dancing On A Dream has a pedigree to suggest she will be well forward this year. By Dream Ahead, a good influence for speed and a fair one for precocity, and from a family that has plenty of good two-year-olds in it, she has all the attributes to lay it down to the experienced runners if she's sharp enough starting out.
Reverberation6.15
A seven-race maiden, Reverberation has nonetheless been the big morning mover on the card. He drops both in trip and class, having been second to runaway winner Technological over 8.5f at Wolverhampton two starts back. He is now 2lb lower and wears cheekpieces for the first time returned to 7f.
He will need to improve, but it could be worth remembering that his very best effort to date came over this trip, over Epsom's sharp course but on heavy ground.
Soghan8.45
Richard Hughes has done very well with Soghan since inheriting him from John Gosden. He has been placed either side of winning a maiden at Wolverhampton, each time showing improvement on RPRs.
Tonight he steps up to 2m for the first time, a trip that would not be obviously up his street on pedigree but he has looked as though full-bore staying trips would be within his compass of late and, should he find extra improvement for it, ought to go very close again.
