The Melbourne Cup kicked off proceedings at an early hour, but if your thirst for action is still yet to be sated, these runners could be of interest at Kempton this evening.

Gaudi (5.15)

Trainers are keen to get a run into their two-year-olds who have yet to make the track as the season draws to a close, and Gaudi is one of several interesting newcomers.

A 260,000 guineas yearling, Gaudi is related to a few winners, including the useful Forest Ranger, and trainer John Gosden had a winning juvenile at the track yesterday.

Highbrow (5.45)

David Simcock has only turned to Jim Crowley to ride a two-year-old for him once so far this season and it resulted in a winner.

The pair team up again with Highbrow, an interesting debutant who has landed the inside draw in stall one.

Dutiful Son (7.15)

His recent form may not be that convincing, but Dutiful Son does like it here, with five wins from 22 runs.

He is 5lb lower than his last winning mark, and if he returns to his previous form then he would be dangerous to discount.
