Three runners to look out for this evening

On Fiddlers Green
6.15 Galway

On Fiddlers Green won this same race as a six-year-old novice chaser last year and he has gone from strength to strength in just a few starts since for Henry de Bromhead, who took over as his trainer not long before last year's Galway win. He won on his most recent start at Roscommon on ground pretty similar to what he will face here and he just missed out on a place in the Galway Plate earlier in the week, which his yard won anyway. This would make for some consolation.

Muniza
7.25 Galway

An Aga Khan-bred filly is expected to have a stellar pedigree and Muniza is no exception. Her dam has already produced Group 1 Sydney Cup winner Mourayan, Melbourne Cup third Mourilyan and classy staying hurdler Mourad, so this mile and a half should be more suitable than the mile at the Curragh over which she made her debut. Throw in the benefit of that experience and Muniza might just be the one to finally get trainer Dermot Weld off the mark for the week.

Cymro
8.25 Galway

Joseph O'Brien has some reviving to do with Cymro, who he has received from Tom Dascombe since the five-year-old last ran. If he has managed it already, there is definitely a case to be made at odds of around 16-1 in the afternoon. On his day, Cymro is Listed-class and he has plenty of form on soft ground. He is no slowcoach, either, having won over an extended 11 furlongs on good ground at Haydock last autumn. He has also won around Chester, which suggests he will be fine with the late twists and turns at Galway.
