The leaves are starting to fall from the trees and autumn is definitely in the air. But you can still keep warm at night with some all-weather action, and here are three runners who could leave you feeling nice and toasty . . .

Slipstream
Kempton 5.45

Mick Appleby's ability to improve horses recruited from other yards is well known, and Slipstream might be able to take his form to a new level tackling the all-weather for the first time.

The three-year-old was a winner first-time out for Appleby on the turf at Lingfield in August, having previously been with George Scott, and if taking to the new surface could prove better than his official mark of 64.

Contingency Fee
8.45 Kempton

This three-year-old signed off with a win at Brighton for Brian Meehan and was snapped up for 4,200 guineas by Phil McEntee.

That was only his fifth start and now he has got his head in front there might be more to come for new connections.

Looking For Carl
9.15 Kempton

When tackling 1m4f here for the first time, Looking For Carl delivered his best effort, finishing runner-up.

He shaped as though he might stay further and gets the chance to do just that over 2m this evening.

Trainer Harry Dunlop has enlisted the services of Jim Crowley, which bodes well, as the pair have a 20 per cent strike-rate (nine from 45) over the past five seasons.
