Three interesting runners to note at Newcastle tonight
Newcastle stages an all-weather twilight meeting, with the first race starting at 3.15. Here are three horses worth keeping an eye on.
Fabiolla
4.15 Newcastle
This two-year-old daughter of New Approach finished a half-length second on debut at Yarmouth last month and produced another respectable effort when third at Kempton behind the promising Watheerah.
Those two efforts set the standard in this six-furlong novice contest and she has every chance of getting off the mark.
Wondering Spirit
6.15 Newcastle
The Kevin Ryan-trained filly was a close third last time on only her second start and she has a good chance of reversing the form with penalised winner Reconcile.
She was only half a length behind Simon Crisford's runner that day and is 7lb better off here.
Eternal Sun
6.45 Newcastle
This filly got off the mark at the third time of asking when a 14-1 winner of a novice contest at the track in September.
The daughter of Mayson makes her handicap debut and looks to have more scope for improvement than many of her rivals.
