Three horses to look out for at Galway and Kempton

There is some intriguing action this evening with Galway hosting Listed action and a mile handicap taking centre stage at Kempton. Here are three horses to look out for

Alwaysandforever5.15 Galway

Luca Cumani saddles his first runner at Galway when Alwaysandforever contests the feature €50,000 Listed Ardilaun Hotel Oyster Stakes.

The daughter of Teofilo, owned by Messrs Magnier, Smith and Tabor, finished fourth behind Lah Ti Dar in the same grade at York last month.

She is a consistent filly but will have to prove her liking for heavy ground, having previously tackled good to soft at worst.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained Princess Yaiza will relish the testing conditions and is a deserved market leader.

Ledham7.00 Kempton

Ryan Moore completes the Lingfield-Kempton double header on his 35th birthday, making the trip to Sunbury for one ride on Ledham in the mile handicap.

Owner Saeed Suhail and trainer Sir Michael Stoute, dealt with the blow of Poet's Word being ruled out for the remainder of the year earlier today, are represented with the three-year-old, who finished second to the progressive History Writer at Sandown last time.

He remains open to improvement after just four starts and should go well.

Swordbill8.30 Kempton

Swordbill tackles two miles for the first time and arrives on the back of a first win at Chelmsford three days ago.

The son of Champs Elysees, trained by Ian Williams, looked a stout stayer over 1m5½f on Saturday and carries a 6lb penalty for that victory.

David Egan keeps the ride and another bold bid can be expected.
