Three arrested over alleged drone use outside Aintree during National meeting

Jockey Club regional director Dickon White hailed the arrest of three men allegedly using a drone filming the action at Aintree's Grand National meeting as "a great result for racing".

The trio were detained by Merseyside Police on Red Rum Close outside the course on suspicion of breaching the Air Navigation Order.

The drone was seized and information on the incident, involving men aged 54, 52 and 35, has been passed to the Civil Aviation Authority.
