Faugheen, Douvan and Benie Des Dieux gave us so many brilliant days. For them to get out in one piece is a marvellous thing. They are healthy and happy, which is what matters most. They had great careers and now we want them to have wonderful retirements.

Douvan is our 'On the Waterfront' horse. If he could talk I really do think he would say he could have been a contender.

He had so much ability, but he was also so unfortunate. He got hurt in the 2017 Champion Chase and was never really the same after that, although you did still see glimpses of what he might have been. Even in what turned out to be his final race at Clonmel in November 2019 he was brilliant. We were saying to each other, wow, he's back. Sadly, it was not to be.
