'There'll be no hiding place' - Noble Yeats back at Aintree for Senor showdown
Noble Yeats will return to the scene of his most famous triumph on Saturday, but it will be the conventional fences rather than the National ones he will be jumping at Aintree and Emmet Mullins is hoping to find out whether he has a Cheltenham Gold Cup contender on his hands.
The Grade 2 BoyleSports Many Clouds Chase (1.30) is the next chapter of the remarkable Noble Yeats story and Mullins reports last season's 50-1 Grand National hero to be in great shape before a showdown with Ahoy Senor and Chantry House.
Indeed, Mullins even left Noble Yeats in the King George at the latest entry stage on Tuesday. But the shrewd trainer is looking no further away than Saturday where he expects his 160-rated seven-year-old to get a proper test of his credentials.
