The Punt Daily: Tom Collins's free horse racing tips on Monday
BANKER
Spargrove (5.40 Wolverhampton)
Hughie Morrison's colt has screamed future winner when finishing in the places on his three starts in handicap company and should finally get off the mark at the fourth attempt in this sphere – and seventh overall – in what looks an extremely weak race. The son of Cacique has bumped into Glutnforpunishment (won twice since), handicap blot Goshen and Champagne Marengo (won since) this term and hasn't disgraced himself on any occasion. He looked unlucky not to beat the latter-named last time out when given a little bit too much to do and although this track probably won't be ideal, he is too well handicapped to ignore.
DARK HORSE
Oisin Murphy continues in his bid for a first Flat jockeys' title and he partners Sir Plato, who is well treated on his best form, for the ninth time at Windsor. Rod Millman's five-year-old is a four-time course-and-distance winner and boasts form figures of 11151702 under Murphy, while he is now able to run off a mark 9lb lower than when last successful. This front-runner hasn't been suited by pace duels the last twice and has been dropped 6lb as a result, which looks lenient. There doesn't look to be too much pace in this contest and he can grab the rail from a nice draw in stall two.
