'The past is the past' - Philip Prince ends 18-month drought after cocaine ban

Philip Prince has his eyes firmly fixed on a bright future after his first winner since returning from a six-month suspension after testing positive for cocaine.

Prince, who won on Whatzupwithme at Kempton on Wednesday evening having returned to action last month, was banned in February when a urine sample taken after a ride at Wolverhampton the previous year tested 56 times over the permitted threshold for cocaine.

The jockey, who overcame having one ear and a jaw defect to gain his licence, put his ban firmly in the past at Kempton when riding Whatzupwithme to strike in a mile handicap for boss Mark Loughnane, ending a drought going back to March 2019.
