Namhroodah was relegated to third behind Irish Rookie, with whom she interfered with in the final furlong, with the race going to Red Box, originally a short-head second having split Namhroodah and Irish Rookie at the finish.

“Watching the videos we didn’t feel Namhroodah was a tired horse and felt she might well have battled back against Irish Rookie,” said Tate. “However, having gone through the appeal process and having heard exactly what was said in the inquiry, our jockey Jamie Spencer said Namhroodah was tired and really with that evidence from the day we felt it wasn’t something we were going to win regardless of what we thought.”
