Tandem, winner of this race four years ago, has shown that he retains plenty of ability and the versatile eight-year-old will be seeking win number nine of his career in the richest prize on tonight's card.

The Dermot Weld-trained gelding will be chasing a hat-trick having won both his previous races this season, over 1m4f at Tipperary and the Curragh.

Windsor Beach, all of whose three victories, including one at Leopardstown, have been achieved over the trip, represents Johnny Murtagh and will be going back up in distance having finished second in a mile handicap at the Curragh on his most recent start.

Ger Lyons runs Elusive Heights, who has been runner-up on both his starts this year and five-time winner Tennessee Wildcat, who won at Gowran Park on his most recent start.

Tilly's Chilli, who was denied a four-timer when third in the Ulster Derby last month, represents Jessica Harrington while John Quinn's five-time winner Speed Company has travelled from Yorkshire seeking a sixth win.

What they say

Sean Quinn, son of and assistant to John Quinn, trainer of Speed Company
He was in the John Smith's Cup and this looks a little easier for him. He did it nicely at Ayr last time and the form is working out well with the fourth and the third winning since.

Dermot Weld, trainer of Tandem
He's in good form and we're hoping he might win the race for the second time. He's won both his races this year and I'm expecting a very good run from him. A few showers would be welcome.

Michael Halford, trainer of Castle Guest
I was pleased with his run at the Curragh last time. He likes Leopardstown and the trip. It's a big pot and worth a shot.

Jessica Harrington, trainer of Tilly's Chilli
She's in good form. We were very happy with her run in the Ulster Derby and she has a nice chance off bottom weight. It's a valuable prize and the ground will suit her.
