The Ballymore Novices' Hurdle run at Cheltenham on Saturday looks to have thrown up two exciting prospects, albeit only one finished.

A potentially thrilling match race on the run-in between Brewin'Upastorm and Birchdale, who cleared away from their rivals in the straight, was unfortunately taken from our grasp as the former came to grief at the last, allowing Birchdale to come home in his own time.

As they approached the last it looked as though Olly Murphy's scopey Brewin'Upastorm was getting the better of the Nicky Henderson-trained unexposed hurdler, but both still had plenty in the tank and who knows what would have happened.
