Betting on tomorrow's two Goodwood features has a somewhat topsy-turvy look about it, with the Betfred Mile – usually one of the most competitive handicaps of the year – threatening to turn into a one-horse book, while the layers go 6-1 the field for the Group 2 Qatar King George Stakes.

Franklin D was last night a best-priced 7-2 for the Mile, after Ryan Moore was confirmed for the recent impressive Newmarket winner. The Michael Bell-trained four-year-old is drawn in stall one for the 20-runner handicap, for which Red Avenger was the last horse to make the cut.
