Super Mrs Danvers lands pot for punters

Mrs Danvers' victory in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury was cheered particularly loudly by 21 ticket holders of the Scoop6 who as a result of it shared the £275,948 prize.

The ticket holders receive £13,140.30 each plus the chance to play for the bonus fund next weekend, which stands at £97,474 and could very well be focused on the Gigaset International Handicap on Ascot's King George card.

Five of yesterday's six contests went to either the favourite or joint-favourite, of which Mrs Danvers was one – she started at 9-2 joint market leader.
