Chelmsford to host additional all-weather fixture on Friday
Chelmsford will host an additional all-weather meeting on Friday, November 8 to compliment twilight action at Newcastle and Dundalk after afternoon racing at Warwick, Hexham and Fontwell.
The six-race card will commence at 5.25pm, with three novice contents preceding a triple serving of handicaps.
Entries must be made by noon on Wednesday with declarations taking place the following day.
Stayers' Hurdle hero Paisley Park set for Newbury gallop
Star stayer Paisley Park has been pencilled in for a gallop before Newbury's seven-race card on Thursday ahead of his eagerly awaited return in the Berkshire track's Grade 2 Long Distance Hurdle on November 29.
The seven-year-old established himself as the dominant force in the staying hurdle division last season, winning all five starts culminating in a brilliant Stayers' Hurdle triumph for trainer Emma Lavelle and owner Andrew Gemmell.
He will exercise under Barry Fenton before the opening handicap hurdle at 12.55, with a repeat bid at the Cheltenham Festival earmarked as the long-term aim.
Abandoned Fairyhouse meeting rescheduled for next Tuesday
Tuesday's cancelled Fairyhouse meeting, which was set to feature exciting prospects Andy Dufresne and Honeysuckle, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, November 12.
Horse Racing Ireland have announced the card, which was lost due to waterlogging, will close for fresh entries by 12pm on Thursday with declarations to run to be made by 10am on Monday.
The rearranged meeting will get going at 12.25pm next Tuesday, with the last underway at 3.25pm.
