St Leger winner back in work as Baaeed steps up preparations for Champions Day

David Egan was reunited with his St Leger winner Eldar Eldarov when the son of Dubawi was put to work on the Al Bahathri Polytrack by trainer Roger Varian for an impressive first piece of exercise since winning at Doncaster.

The KHK Racing-owned colt holds an entry in the Group 2 Long Distance Cup at Ascot on British Champions Day but is also under consideration for the Group 1 Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp.

Roger Varian also braved the fog on the Limekilns trial ground on Friday morning to put his Group 1 Darley Dewhurst Stakes contender Sakheer through his paces.
