St Leger sponsor hunt goes on as Arc plays down hopes of welcoming racegoers

Only two months remain for a sponsor to be found for the 2020 St Leger but Arena Racing Company remains hopeful the Classic will be run with a commercial partner.

William Hill confirmed earlier this year the end of a three-year association with Doncaster's crown jewel, whose diverse and changeable sponsorship past had previously given way to a 12-year relationship with Ladbrokes that ended due to the sport's authorised betting partner row.

Prior to Ladbrokes, the St Leger had been run under an array of banners, including Holsten Pils, Pertemps, Teleconnections, Coalite, Betfair, Rothmans Royals and even the Seabiscuit film.
