Sprint veteran Mirza taking aim at Beverley Bullet
MirzaRae Guest
The Cambridge Road Polytrack is always a popular venue on Racecourse Side, particularly when the grass gallops are too firm to use. Rather than go the full length, sprinters can jump in from a chute after three furlongs as Guest's veteran did on Wednesday. The nine-year-old looks in top order for Saturday's Listed Beverley Bullet, in which he finished runner-up in 2014.
Maverick WaveJohn Gosden
With the mercury hitting 25C by 8am, Gosden decided to pull out at 5.30am to beat the heat. Godolphin's chestnut has had a break since Royal Ascot and goes well fresh so could be of interest in Saturday's Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor.
Great OrderSaeed Bin Suroor
Bin Suroor is just getting his team going again after they were hit by a virus and boxed some of his team over early to use the watered gallop. The impressive Leicester maiden winner showed up well in his group and his form was franked when runner-up Stratum scored at Windsor last week.
