Snowfall primed to take on Mishriff and Adayar in Champion Stakes thriller
Aidan O'Brien added even more intrigue to the Qipco Champion Stakes as he announced that Snowfall is likely to take on Mishriff and possibly Adayar in what will be a Saturday sizzler at Ascot.
It could mark the second time in 13 days that the winners of the Derby and Oaks clash, after Adayar and Snowfall both contested the Arc to finish fourth and sixth respectively behind Torquator Tasso.
O'Brien has won the Champion Stakes only once – with Magical under son Donnacha in 2019 – but he thinks Snowfall will not be troubled by the drop to ten furlongs, reporting the Oaks winner to have come out of Longchamp in good shape.
