There are many things in the world that scare The Dikler and there is a new one to add to the list: sharing a room with Richard Hannon.

The trainer, it seems, has a fear of the dark which causes him to not only booby trap his room but also become hypersensitive to any potential intruders.

His older brother Henry, talking to Richard for a feature on World Horse Racing, reveals his sibling sleeps with the light on, places metal coat hangers on his bed to rattle if someone enters and frequently has some kind of weapon close to hand.
