The funeral of Julie Cecil, first wife of Sir Henry Cecil and later a successful trainer in her own right, is to take place at St Mary's Church in Newmarket next Friday, April 22 at 1.30pm.

There is sure to be a big turnout for the 'queen of Newmarket', as she was known by many, who died on Wednesday aged 80.

She leaves a son Noel, daughter Katie and grandchildren Olivia and Jack.

Family flowers only and any donations to the Newmarket Day Centre or the Dogs Trust.

The Sky Bet Sunday Series will offer an additional £250,000 in bonus prize-money across the six meetings this year.

The series, which kicks off on May 8 at Hamilton, will award £100,000 to the first jockey and £25,000 to the first trainer to reach seven winners.

The first owner to land three successes throughout the summer schedule will also receive £100,000, while the three leading stables will win up to £10,000 for stable staff.

Turnout prizes will amount to £250 while an award for winning apprentice will include Racing TV media training and a 12-month sponsorship from Sporting Life.

The series doubled its fixture list from last year's three meetings, with additional racedays set for Hamilton, York and Pontefract.

It now offers a prize-money total of £1.2 million, with all races set to be broadcast on ITV4 and concluding at Sandown on August 21.
