Chaser pleasing Moore as he builds up to Chepstow return

Former Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Sire De Grugy is all set to make his his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow in October revealed trainer Gary Moore as long as ground conditions at the Welsh course are suitable.

Moore is hoping the ten-year-old can use the outing as a springboard towards winning the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown in December for the third time, having landed that prestigious prize last year and in 2013.

The trainer said: "The plan is to go to Chepstow for a two-and-a-half-mile race open handicap chase as long as the ground is fine, but he will not be running there if it is too quick. We will be looking for soft or good to soft ground and hoping the longer trip could open up a few more options later in the season.
