Shishkin still in but Tingle Creek isn't always essential for Henderson

There are two things that hit you in the face when looking at the final entry stage revealed by the BHA on Tuesday for the Betfair Tingle Creek at Sandown next month.

The first is that only 14 remain, so we look set for another single-figure field. That’s not new in the Tingle Creek and only once in the last ten years has the race had ten runners (2014).

The second is that Shishkin is still in, so it’s fair to assume he remains on target for the race, despite going there without a prep run. You never know with Nicky Henderson, although he did confirm the seven-year-old on target for the race.
