'She has a good race in her' - our analysts with four horses to note

Angel's Kiss
Fifth, Wolverhampton, Tuesday

While the Cheveley Park-owned filly Degree impressed in quickening up well to win the race, her owners' second string Angel's Kiss, who was making her debut, very much caught the eye in behind.

The John and Thady Gosden-trained three-year-old wasn't best away and raced further back in the pack than ideal given the lack of pace. She also showed signs of inexperience when shaken up, but she put in some strong late work to finish close up.

Her jockey never got too serious with her and she looks sure to step forward. Indeed, it wouldn't be a surprise if she improved enough to get off the mark next time. [Steffan Edwards]

Zeyaadah
Second, Chester, Wednesday

Everything dropped perfectly for Dubai Fountain, who got first run before going on to win a muddling Cheshire Oaks on her reappearance.

However, it was the performance of runner-up Zeyaadah that took the eye and the filly, who was conceding 3lb all round, is the one to take from the race after she made up plenty of ground to pull clear of the rest in the short straight.

The Roger Varian-trained unbeaten juvenile was travelling well within herself when running out of room on the turn for home, which arguably cost her more in distance than the length she was beaten at the end.

This was a much-improved effort and, while she isn't guaranteed to appreciate a well-run mile and a half on quicker ground at Epsom, she is potentially high-class and unlikely to be inconvenienced by a better gallop over a mile and a quarter. She has a good race in her.

Barshaa
Eighth, Nottingham, Friday

Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, Barshaa was a shorter price for her debut than her winning stablemate but clearly needed her first experience.

Slowly away, this Dubawi half-sister to useful 7f winner Lawahed raced in rear but stayed on well as the penny dropped in the closing stages.

Although finishing only eighth, she more than hinted at ability with her finishing effort and has the potential to leave this bare form well behind next time. [Andrew Sheret]

Adaay To Remember
Second, Nottingham, Saturday

Adaay To Remember ran an absolute blinder on her debut at 50-1, finding only Dark Shift – rated 88 and sent off at 4-7 – too strong having been up with the pace throughout.

The Patrick Owens-trained filly is out of a mare whose only win came as a two-year-old and is a half-sister to another juvenile winner, so she is bred to be precocious and could soon be tasting victory herself.

Her price suggested that not a great deal was expected on this first outing, so she can only improve for the experience. [David Bellingham]
