Shadwell signal expansion by adding three young Newmarket trainers to roster

On the back of a bumper 2022 highlighted by the exploits of Baaeed, Shadwell Estates have announced they are to add three new trainers – all Newmarket-based – to their roster for 2023.

Only a year after streamlining her team at the sales following the death of her father Hamdan Al Maktoum, Shadwell’s young boss Sheikha Hissa is now to expand by sending four yearlings each to George Boughey, Kevin Philippart de Foy and Harry Eustace.

The 30-year-old Boughey won his first Classic with Cachet in the 1,000 Guineas in May and is already on 125 winners for the year, 40 ahead of his tally for 2021.
