Former champion jockey Seb Sanders urged title challengers Oisin Murphy and William Buick to "stay in the present" as their battle for the British Flat jockeys' championship looks set to go to the final day.

The pair have strong books of rides at Haydock on Friday and on British Champions Day at Ascot, when the winner will be crowned.

Sanders was involved in an intense title race in 2007 when he shared the championship with Jamie Spencer, who levelled the scores when winning the final race of the final day of the season at Doncaster.
