Search for first winner in 20 years goes on for luckless Davis

Owner Bill Davis is unlikely to be buying any lottery tickets soon, as his, and Ayr Of Elegance's, luckless run continued at Lingfield on Tuesday evening.

Davis, 86, thought the four-year-old filly had given him his first winner in more than 20 years when she was awarded a race at the track in May having been beaten a nose.

However, that victory was taken away again when connections of the winner Onorina successfully appealed the verdict at an inquiry.
