Syndicates are considered the best gateway into ownership, and being part of a group also delivers a more a satisfying experience, according to the National Racehorse Owners Association survey.

Conducted this spring, the survey attracted 2,203 responses from current and lapsed owners, and the popularity of syndicates was a recurring theme.

Groups such as Middleham Park, Highclere, and On To A Winner have all enjoyed considerable success, and 73 per cent of those who participated in the survey said they started out in ownership as part of a group.
