Sam Twiston-Davies knows exactly what he wants for Christmas. A repeat win on Clan Des Obeaux in the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase.

Twiston-Davies, who has known Clan Des Obeaux since his juvenile hurdling days, said his big-race mount "felt fantastic" when he went to Ditcheat on Monday to take part in a schooling session for Paul Nicholls' quartet of King George contenders.

He was thrilled when his old boss reunited him with Clan Des Obeaux 12 months ago, after stable jockey Harry Cobden opted for rising star Cyrname, and he is hoping for a repeat success on the eight-year-old, who will be bidding for a King George hat-trick after beating former winner Thistlecrack when partnered by Cobden in 2018.
