Saint Calvados could be tried over a longer trip after finishing third behind Altior in Saturday's 2m Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown, according to trainer Harry Whittington.

The five-year-old, who was sent off at 8-1 in just his second Grade 1, finished 15 lengths behind seasoned campaigner Un De Sceaux and five lengths clear of the Alan King-trained Sceau Royal in the four-runner field.
