After 10mm of rain on Friday, the summer grass facilities were promptly closed on Saturday morning but the Across-the-Flat gallop on Racecourse Side rode well as the son of Ivawood mixed it with an older horse under Nicola Currie. Already 6-1 favourite with Paddy Power for the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, the juvenile will first try to complete a four-timer in the Listed National Stakes at Sandown on Thursday.
